THE CLOONEY clan just grew by two — and, no need to worry, the actor’s doing just fine.

George Clooney and his wife, Amal Clooney, welcomed a girl and boy — Ella and Alexander — on Tuesday morning, the Hollywood power couple announced in a statement.

Both mom and the twins are “happy, healthy and doing fine” at a London hospital.

“George is sedated and should recover in a few days,” the family’s humorous statement added.

The actor, 56, and the human rights lawyer, 39, were married three years ago in Venice. The twins are the first children for both. Soon after the announcement, social media lit up with congratulatory messages from around the world — with “Ella and Alexander” among the top trending topics on Twitter.

The couple have been living in England while awaiting the arrival of their kids. The couple owns a mansion in Berkshire, just west of London.

In an interview this past February with the French TV program “Rencontres de Cinema,” Clooney said fatherhood was “going to be an adventure.”

“We went out to dinner the other night, and it’s a table of eight guys, and all their kids are away in college and we are sitting there and they were all being very supportive, ‘Everything is going to be great, you’re going to love it,’ ” Clooney recalled.

“Then it got really quiet, and they all just started making baby crying and the whole table just busted up laughing.”

The “Ocean’s Eleven” actor was a longtime bachelor after his divorce from actress Talia Balsam in 1993.

In interviews over the years, Clooney had repeatedly suggested that he never expected to have children.

“I don’t see myself ever having kids,” the actor told People magazine in 2006. “But everything in my life has changed over periods of time, and the world does change.”

Once news broke in February that Amal Clooney was expecting twins, the two-time People magazine “Sexiest Man Alive” winner said he was “excited” to be a dad.

The “Tomorrowland” star also joked his wife would be taking over naming duties for the twins after he suggested using the name of his tequila brand.

“My wife says I can’t name them Casa and Amigos,” he joked to “Entertainment Tonight.” “That’s the one thing I’m not allowed to do.”
