EATS BEAT

- BY GINA SALAMONE

Just call her Lady Java. Starbucks has teamed up with Lady Gaga to launch new summery sips — and there are a “Million Reasons” to try them. Besides coming in pretty pastel hues that will enhance your Instagram, a portion of all sales from this “Cups of Kindness” collection will go to Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation. The foundation creates programs that provide youth with mental health resources, empowerment and support.

“We’re healthier and happier when we live our lives with compassion and our communities are stronger when we treat one another with generosity and respect,” Lady Gaga said in a statement.

The coffee company will donate 25 cents to the Born This Way Foundation each time one of the four iced drinks in the collection is sold, through Monday. Regardless of how well they sell, Starbucks has pledged a minimum $250,000 contribution. The cool quartet includes two brand new beverages: Matcha Lemonade (made by shaking up ice with matcha green tea and lemonade); and the Violet Drink (crafted by swirling sweet blackberries and tart hibiscus with coconut milk and ice). A pair of past favorites round out the collection: the Ombré Pink Drink (which combines lime flavor with coconut milk, shaken iced hibiscus tea and a lime wheel); and the Pink Drink (which blends flavors of strawberry, acai and passion fruit with coconut milk, before it’s topped with sliced strawberries.) As an added bonus, the fruity brews are all under 150 calories in the “grande” size. So you can sip them guilt-free and still fit in your swimsuit this summer.
