If it’s your birthday

-

You must look to the future of your relationships, not backwards at the past. The temptation will always be there, though by now you know that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. Your life is about beginnings, and if you want some of those, draw any incomplete endings to a sincere close, and welcome new experiences and new people into your life. You share a birthday with Nathaniel Hawthorne, Gloria Stuart and Bill Withers. AUG. 23-SEPT. 22 You might feel the impulse to reveal something intimate about yourself, to your lessintimate friends. That could be both appropriate and liberating. Most people you see walking around are smothering themselves in all the things they will not say or admit to, despite wanting to dearly. SEPT. 23-OCT. 22 You’re approaching an unusual career opportunity, which you should act on sooner rather than later. It probably won’t come up today, on a holiday; though even if it does, take contact information and get back to the person Wednesday or Thursday at the latest. This could be a significant opening. OCT. 23-NOV. 21 The thing to do is talk about it. Don’t be afraid to go there. You are feeling strongly about something or someone, and it’s time to get that out into the open. Just be gentle, keep it light, and keep your sense of humor. Nobody is into hot and heavy these days. We need fresh and breezy. NOV. 22-DEC. 21 Someone you’re longing for is not out of reach, though you must reach gently. If you come from a place of need or attachment, you’re unlikely to get their attention. If you come from a place of genuine affection and friendship, that will be appealing. Gently, warmly, get the conversation going. DEC. 22-JAN. 19 It’s important that you establish common ground with someone who may appear to be an adversary. That can start with human contact, and develop into an understanding of the values and priorities that you share. Start soon; this is about making an investment in the future. JAN. 20-FEB. 18 You will need to make a decision today. Yet if it’s a question of whether something should benefit you or benefit others, you can be sure you’re asking the question the wrong way. The correct solution includes the greatest good for everyone involved, and such is within reach. FEB. 19-MARCH 20 Your point of view is not up for debate. It’s your point of view. Whether it’s working for you is another matter and, chances are, it’s working just fine. The real question is why anyone would take an interest in editing you on a deeply personal matter. It’s not going to happen, anyway.
