A BRONX man was arrested Monday and charged with the 2016 shooting death of Jessica White, a woman who died while trying to shield her three young children from gunfire.

Stiven Siri-Reynoso was indicted on one count of murder through the use of a firearm in connection with a crime of violence, the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s Office announced.

If convicted, Siri-Reynoso, 24, faces up to life in prison or the death penalty.

White, 29, died the night of June 11, 2016, outside her apartment at the John Adams Houses near Westchester Ave. and E. 152nd St., in Longwood.

As her children played, White spotted a man dressed in black fire a gun into the playground.

White (photo) jumped up to block them, and a bullet hit her below the heart, her mother, Gola White, told the Daily News after witnessing the shooting.

“Shesaid,‘Mommy!Thekids!’ ”Gola White had also said. “My daughter got up and hit the ground.”

Siri-Reynoso pleaded not guilty to the charge, but did not request bail. His lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

One of White’s cousins was grateful to hear of SiriReynoso’s arrest.

“God is good,” said the cousin, who declined to give her name. “I’m just happy that they caught him and my cousin finally got justice.”
