Farm eatery sues over neighbor’s raging bull

FARM TO TABLE makes him unstable.

The upstairs neighbor of a popular Inwood restaurant has regularly tormented the business for around two years — licking a handful of spoons, changing his Wi-Fi network name to “café plates from the floor” and blasting music with the lyrics “shut the f--- up,” a new lawsuit charges.

Jason Minter, the owner of Indian Road Café, says in a suit filed late Tuesday in Manhattan Supreme Court that Jay Meetze is dangerously deranged and has been tormenting employees solely out of “spite and malice” from his apartment directly above the W. 218th St. eatery, which serves seasonal fare from its Hudson Valley farm.

On Wednesday, Justice Gerald Lebovits issued a temporary restraining order against Meetze, who could not be reached for comment.

The simmering beef began around 2015, Minter said, when Meetze, 43, began inexplicably antagonizing restaurant staff.

“Meetze grabbed a handful of teaspoons at the coffee bar, licked them, and tried to return them to their receptacle,” Minter, 47, said.

The hostility escalated on Jan. 23, 2016, when Meetze (photo) was robbed in his apartment. Meetze sells weed out of his apartment and was robbed by one of his customers, alleged Minter, who also lives in the building.

But Meetze blamed a chef at the restaurant for the heist, the suit says. “Meetze threatened that his exboyfriend would arrange to have the chef’s ‘arms and legs broken’ and will be ‘tortured and murdered on video,’ ” papers read.

Meetze, who runs the Opera Company of Brooklyn, then began filming and photographing employees and blasting obscene music from his window, according to the suit. He also changed his Wi-Fi network name to disparage the well-regarded restaurant, where a steak costs $34.

He yelled insults from his apartment, such as “Indian Road Café, domestic terrorists!” and “You better watch your back Minter!” and “You are a criminal!” the suit charges.

Meetze even went digging through the restaurant’s garbage and found old tax returns belonging to Minter’s wife, which Meetze posted on the opera’s Facebook page, papers allege.

He also wrote online that “urine and feces . . . pour through Indian Road Cafe’s ceiling,” papers charge.

Nevertheless, after being informed he wouldn’t be allowed in the restaurant, Meetze threw a tantrum, yelling, “Where am I gonna get my coffee?” the suit says.

“All they want to do is conduct their lives free of harassment and interference — nothing more, nothing less,” Minter’s attorney Larry Hutcher said.
