The Donald’s boys are Les Miserables

- BY TERENCE CULLEN

DONALD TRUMP JR. reportedly can’t wait for the end of the Trump presidency.

“Don can’t do any deals, because he’ll be overly scrutinized,” a source in the Trump family circle told People. “He just goes to work every day and is miserable.”

The real estate scion’s misery has only gotten worse as revelations about his previously undisclosed June 9, 2016, meeting with a possibly Kremlin-linked lawyer continue to emerge, People suggested.

Sources told the magazine Trump Jr., 39, and younger brother Eric, 33, aren’t happy that their father is President. “Eric and Don, they never wanted this,” a friend of the brothers told People.

“You can’t bite the hand that feeds you, but he (Trump Jr.) can’t wait for these four years to be over,” another source in the brothers’ realm added.

Regardless, they’ve been vocal defenders of their father — often appearing on TV to defend his policies as he faces multiple standoffs with Congress. Trump Jr. in particular has taken after his father’s Twitter habit — using the social media platform to attack the President’s critics.

“The loyalty within this family is insane,” a source close to the brothers told People. “They would never speak against their dad.”

Trump Jr. (below l.), who’s running the Trump Organization with Eric (below r.) while their father runs the country, has taken refuge in hunting and fishing.

Sources familiar with the family said the presidential patriarch has always demanded a winning culture among his kids.

“He doesn’t like failure and mistakes, and he doesn’t accept them,” a source who’s previously worked with the President told People. So friends told people they were caught off guard when Trump Jr. appeared on Fox News’ “Hannity” on July 11.

Hours earlier, he tweeted an email exchange about the meeting last June, which promised that he would be getting dirt on the Clintons from a “Russian government” official.

“In retrospect, I probably would have done things a little differently,” Trump Jr. told anchor Sean Hannity.

“Those are not words normally heard from a Trump,” a source told the magazine.

A Trump Organization spokeswoman didn’t return a request for comment.
