Summer school rape try
A 16-YEAR-OLD girl was sexually assaulted by another student at their Queens high school, police said Wednesday.
Olivier Chatelaine, 18, allegedly forced himself on the victim in the basement of the Campus Magnet Building in Cambria Heights on Tuesday morning.
The two were preparing to start summer classes when Chatelaine approached the girl about 8:30 a.m. and told her he “had something for her,” authorities said.
He picked her up and carried her to the basement, where he performed oral sex on her until she told him to stop, according to a Queens Criminal Court complaint. Chatelaine did stop, before he tried to rape her, prosecutors said.
“You can talk to that other boy, but you can’t have sex with me,” Chatelaine hissed at the victim as he attacked her, according to the complaint.
The girl managed to get away before he could do the dirty deed and notified a school safety agent. Chatelaine tossed a red condom he was wearing and took off, court papers allege.
He later surrendered at the 105th Precinct stationhouse and immediately asked for a lawyer, sources said.
The teens were caught on video surveillance in a hallway leading to a stairway, and prosecutors may have DNA evidence, authorities said.
Chatelaine was charged with attempted rape, criminal sex act, sex abuse and unlawful imprisonment. He is being held on $10,000 bail and was ordered to stay away from the victim.
“The safety of students and staff always comes first, and this disturbing incident was immediately reported and is being investigated,” said city Education Department spokeswoman Toya Holness.
