Killed gal pal then himself – eventually

COPS ARE investigating a bizarre murder-suicide where they suspect a Bronx man killed his girlfriend and left her body to rot in their apartment before taking his own life more than a day later, sources said Saturday.

Dennis Walker, 64, was found dead in his bedroom, lying on his side, in the Belmont home he shared with Elizabeth Santos, 47, about 9:50 a.m. Thursday.

Santos was found dead lying face up on the floor of the apartment’s hallway, police said.

Their bodies were discovered by authorities after their neighbors on Crotona Ave. near E. 181st. St. complained of a foul order.

A bloody knife investigators believe was used to kill Santos was found near Walker’s body.

An autopsy revealed that Santos was stabbed repeatedly.

Autopsy results on Walker were pending further testing.

Investigators believe Walker killed Santos, then took his own life after living with her body for hours.

Santos’ body was more badly decomposed than Walker’s, police sources said.

Both Santos and Walker have extensive criminal histories, with 66 arrests between them, police sources said.
