Time for the annual “gold” rush — the release of VP Records’ 2017 Reggae Gold compilation of current hits and future classics from Chronixx, Vybz Kartel, and Estelle featuring Tarrus Riley, Tory Lanez, Aidonia, Charly Black and more.

Creole Family concert
Skah-Shah and Tabou Combo are headlining the free Creole American Night Family Concert next Sunday in Eisenhower Park’s Lakeside Theater, 1899 Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow, Long Island, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Food fest fund-raiser
Name your favorite Caribbean food — stew and curry chicken, ox tail, cou cou and callaloo — and you’ll find it at the annual Caribbean Food Fest in Brooklyn on Saturday at 1758 Schenectady Ave. from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., presented by the Caribbean American Center of New York & Friends.
The food and drink event is a benefit raising funds to purchase school supplies for a back to school event in August. Tickets are $10, $12 and $15.

‘Black Nerds’ conference
Blerd City Con — a family-friendly, two-day conference celebrating the “complexity of black nerdiness” and featuring art, science, film, literature and technology panels and workshops; film screenings; book readings and more — will be held Saturday and next Sunday in DUMBO.
