“I think it originally started as Bush references,” he said. “But they certainly apply today.”

In an interview with the Daily Beast on Thursday, Bateman certainly left the door open for the next season of “Arrested Developmen­t” to have a Trumpian slant.

“I have no idea what’s ahead,” he admitted to the website. “We start shooting in two weeks and I keep checking my phone for the first script.”

In his new show “Ozark,” which Bateman directs and stars in, he plays a financial planner from Chicago who gets in trouble with a Mexican drug lord and moves his family to the Ozarks. That dark drama, which launched Friday, also centers around a family with issues.

“There’s some pretty chewy dysfunctio­n in our family for sure, which is a consistenc­y,” he said. “Broken families are things that are interestin­g to me.” Actor is as mysterious as any character in “Manhunt: Unabomber.” In the new Discovery Channel series, Worthingto­n (photo) plays FBI profiler who helped capture domestic terrorist “I had several months of researchin­g bits and trying to figure out what made the man as driven as he is,” he told us of his character “Fitz.” But he won’t reveal his own methods as a researcher. “I’m not going to tell you that! That’s my thing.”
