Francisco Lindor hit a leadoff home run in the bottom of the 10th inning and host

Maya Moore scored 23 points, reigning league MVP Nneka Ogwumike added 22 points and the West outlasted the East 130-121 in the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday, where most of the attention was on Seattle’s Sue Bird.

The veteran West squad with 55 total All- Star Game selections on its roster, pulled away after a close first half. Moore made 9 of 17 shots, including five 3-pointers, while Ogwumike made 11 of 15 attempts off the bench. Bird had a hand in many of those baskets, finishing with a game-record 11 assists and eight points.

Moore was named the game’s MVP for the second consecutiv­e All-Star Game.

The youthful East was led by Jonquel Jones with a game-high 24 points, including a dunk in the final minute. There were eight first-time selections on the East roster.

Layshia Clarendon, Candice Dupree and 3-point contest winner Allie Quigley all had 14 points off the bench for the East.

The event also saw the return of the 3-point contest for the first time in eight years, conducted at halftime.

Bird was the sentimenta­l favorite but finished last in the first round with just seven points. Liberty guard Sugar Rodgers electrifie­d the first round making her J.T. Realmuto hit a pair of two-run homers and a double, powering visiting Miami to their second straight victory over slumping Cincinnati. BREWERS 9, PHILLIES 8: Domingo Santana singled home the go-ahead run in the ninth inning after the Brewers blew a big lead, and visiting Milwaukee beat Philadelph­ia to snap a season-worst six-game losing streak. —AP first eight shots and nine of the first 10 to advance to the finals against Quigley. But Quigley — second in the WNBA in 3-pointers made per game — was nearly flawless in the finals. She made 19 of 25 total shots to finish with 27 points and easily outdistanc­e Rodgers and her 19 points.

STALLINGS 60 AGAIN

Scott Stallings birdied the final hole for an 11-under 60 and a one-stroke lead in the PGA Tour’s Barbasol Championsh­ip. Stallings’ 12-foot putt on the par-4 18th caught the right edge and dropped in for the second 60 in two days in sweltering conditions at Grand National’s rainsoften­ed Lake Course.

WEIDMAN WINS IN L.I.

Chris Weidman submitted Kelvin Gastelum with an arm triangle choke at 3:45 of the third round in a UFC on Fox event at Nassau Coliseum.

Weidman, the former Hofstra wrestler fighting just across the Hempstead Turnpike from the university’s campus, snapped a three-fight losing streak to improve to 14-3. Gastelum dropped to 14-40 with one no-decision.

After spending much of the first two minutes feinting and circling, Weidman successful­ly wrestled Gastelum to the canvas.
