AN ARMY of celebrities, politicians and advocates — including transgender stars Caitlyn Jenner and Laverne Cox — lambasted President Trump over his decision to ban transgender citizens from serving in the military.

Jenner (right inset), who was Trump’s most-visible transgender supporter leading up to the election, slammed the President in a tweet hours after he announced the ban Wednesday morning on Twitter.

“There are 15,000 patriotic transgender Americans in the US military fighting for all of us. What happened to your promise to fight for them?” Jenner tweeted, linking back to a June 2016 message by Trump promising to fight for the LGBT community.

Cox noted that the people affected by the Trump ban are doing something he never had the guts to do — serve in the armed forces.

“I have met many transgender Americans over the years who have served or are currently serving our country in the military. I have heard from them humiliating stories of being misgendered and experiencing various kinds of mistreatment when they are willing to put their lives on the line in ways many of us would never do, including our current President,” Cox (left inset) told The Hollywood Reporter. Chelsea Manning, a transgender former Army soldier convicted of leaking intelligence, took to the social media outlet to say, “so, biggest baddest most $$ military on earth cries about a few trans people but funds the like cowardice F-35? sounds #WeGotThis.”

Former Vice President Joe Biden tweeted, “Every patriotic American who is qualified to serve in our military should be able to serve. Full stop.”

“Star Trek” star George Takei aimed his ire at the President.

“History shall record that you are not only the stupidest, most incompetent president ever, but also the cruelest and pettiest,” Takei tweeted.
