Baked-in trouble in PATH bust
TALK ABOUT a case of the munchies.
Port Authority cops busted a Brooklyn man with a pound and a half of marijuana in brownies and cereal treats, officials said Tuesday.
Michael Regalado, 23, of Brooklyn, was stopped by Port Authority police at the Journal Square PATH station in Jersey City for a routine bag check on Saturday afternoon.
When cops looked into his backpack, they found ziplock bags of marijuana, as well as chocolate brownies and cereal bars with marijuana baked inside.
The pound and a half of marijuana Regalado is accused of possessing has a street value of about $4,500.
THC oils — the active ingredient in marijuana — and other drug paraphernalia were also found in his bag, officials said.
Cops charged him with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
