His gory fury

AN UNHINGED man fatally stabbed his mother’s longtime friend and tenant during a bloody clash in Brooklyn early Wednesday, police said.

Cops raced to Bay Ridge Ave. near Fort Hamilton Parkway at about 7 a.m., after 42-year-old Michael Dunne allegedly attacked Annmarie Varay with a knife inside the apartment they all shared.

Police and medics found a gruesome, gore-filled apartment, where Varay, 52, was allegedly renting a room from Dunne’s mother, Maria Maddalena, police sources said.

“There was blood everywhere,” said 12-year-old resident Qirra Gillani, who had just returned from dropping off her brother at summer camp when she walked past the apartment.

The door was open as Varay was being treated. The doomed woman had been stabbed repeatedly and suffered at least one broken bone, police sources said.

Maddalena was sitting on a chair in the apartment, Gillani said.

“(Maddalena) had these napkins (on her), all of them had blood on it,” the child recalled. “The granddaughter was sitting on the floor.”

Varay died at the scene. The victim had moved in with Maddalena and her family about four years ago, family friends said.

Cops say Dunne was lightly injured during the attack and was taken to the hospital for treatment before he was taken
