A LONG ISLAND woman angrily stabbed her sister’s dog after the pooch bit her baby, officials said Wednesday.

Stephanie Penado, 26, of Hempstead erupted in her apartment at about 9:30 a.m. Monday after the 2-year-old Siberian husky, named Rex, attacked her 1-year-old son, Nassau County police said.

Penado grabbed a large kitchen knife and stabbed the dog several times in the face and back.

Rex had surgery and is recuperating at the North Shore Animal League. The surgery cost up to $2,075, court records show.

Nassau police said the baby suffered a small cut to his face and is fine.

Penado was charged with aggravated cruelty to an animal and criminal mischief.

Penado’s sister will not be charged for the dog’s alleged attack on the infant, Nassau police said. A FORMER mistress is putting the full-court press on Amar’e Stoudemire, claiming the married former Knicks star fathered her little girl last year while warming the bench for the Miami Heat, according to a report.

Stoudemire, 34, who made more than $160 million during his 14-year NBA career, has admitted he could be the child’s father, and is ponying up more than $4,300 a month in temporary child support, according to court documents obtained by The Daily Mail.

But the girl’s mother, Quynn Lovett, 36, says Stoudemire’s stipend falls short of the rim, and wants permanent child support as well as full custody, according to the paperwork.

Lovett, a Massachusetts native and Boston Celtics fan, claims the 6-foot-10 forward has not been involved with the child, has not visited and hasn’t paid any of her $11,000 in maternity bills.

She is asking a Florida judge to officially declare that Stoudemire is Zoe Renee’s father.

Stoudemire, in a response to the complaint, admitted that he is possibly the girl’s father, but rejected her lawsuit as “frivolous,” saying he has paid “various amounts” to Lovett since at least Nov. 1, including $22,000 in legal bills.

The court papers reveal no details about their relationship.

The lawsuit describes Lovett as a stay-at-home mother.

Stoudemire has been married since 2012 to Alexis Welch, with whom he has four children, ages 4 through 11.

The couple wed on the rooftop of their Greenwich Village apartment.

Stoudemire and Welch had been dating since 2002.

The six-time NBA All-Star joined the Heat after five years with the Knicks — who paid him $100 million — and a year with the Dallas Mavericks, after eight seasons with the Phoenix Suns.

He was the 2003 NBA Rookie of the Year after he was drafted out of high school.

Stoudemire was plagued by knee problems that robbed him of the explosiveness that made him one of the top players in the league.

He left the Heat last summer for a two-year deal to play for an Israeli team, Hapoel Jerusalem, that he once partially owned.

The team won the Israeli Basketball Premier League championship.

Stoudemire said he rejected NBA offers for the chance to play in Israel.

He called the move “a spiritual journey.”

Stoudemire says he has Jewish lineage on his mother’s side and follows some Jewish customs.

“I have been aware since my youth that I am a Hebrew through my mother, and that is something that has played a subtle but important role in my development,” Stoudemire said in a 2010 interview.

He visited Israel that year, saying he intended “to get a better understanding” of his heritage.

Stoudemire’s off-court ventures include a record label, a clothing line, acting and a series of children's books.
