Goons wake man up with pistol-whip
A STATEN ISLAND man was awoken in his bed by a robber pistol-whipping him, officials said Wednesday.
The drama began when a trio of robbers, two of them masked, confronted three people hanging out outside the home on St. John's Ave. near Bay St. in Park Hill around 3:20 a.m. Saturday, cops said.
They forced those victims, a 32-year old man, 29-year-old man and 27-year-old woman, inside the home at gunpoint, ordered them to lie down and demanded money. They pistolwhipped the 32-year-old man in the head.
The crooks then entered the bedroom of the homeowner, another 32-year-old man, and woke him up by pistol-whipping him in the head.
The late-night raiders ransacked the home and sped off in a dark-colored vehicle with $1,000 cash, a wallet with four debit and credit cards and an iPhone 7, cops said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
