Writer blasts Bolling’s suit
LAWYERS FOR a HuffPost writer are pushing back against a $50 million defamation lawsuit filed by Fox News host Eric Bolling.
The suspended cable news anchor sued writer Yashar Ali over a report detailing allegations that Bolling sent lewd photos to female co-workers.
The lawsuit, according to Ali’s lawyer, Patricia Glaser, is without merit and “does not identify which purportedly ‘false and misleading’ statements could possibly support a $50 million damages award.”
Glaser calls Bolling’s suit “a calculated effort to harass and intimidate Mr. Ali personally.”
Ali shared the letter on Twitter and expressed his pleasure with his choice of attorney.
“I look forward to her taking his deposition and the discovery process,” Ali wrote.
Bolling was suspended last week after Ali’s article was published and Fox representatives said the network is investigating the matter.
The cable news channel has been inundated recently with sexual harassment lawsuits.
