Josh McCown remains the frontrunner in the Jets’ quarterback competition, but Christian Hackenberg continued to receive substantial reps behind the firstteam offensive line in Monday’s practice. Bryce Petty is a distant third in the race.

Hackenberg earned a teamhigh 31 reps Monday. McCown had 28, and Petty only received 11. McCown completed 8 of 17 passes. Hackenberg completed 8 of 16. And Petty completed 5 of 8 with two interceptions and two touchdowns, both of which came in the red zone.
