Jets susp may get break
NEW YORK Jets linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin could be getting a break on a charge he’s facing in a nightclub beating.
Mauldin showed up at Manhattan Criminal Court on Wednesday, the scheduled date of his arraignment on a misdemeanor assault charge. But prosecutors were not ready to file preliminary paperwork, and it was unclear why they failed to do so.
Mauldin, 24, is accused of breaking several bones in the face of 22-year-old Jean Lopez at the Highline Ballroom on April 2.
