Take the fast track to a skin care career

-

Is it time for a career change? Maybe you’re burned out at your current job? Maybe you feel unappreciated or underpaid? Well, there’s good news: The skin care industry is a fun, dynamic, lucrative and fast-growing segment of the U.S. economy.

Spas, salons and medical facilities are opening at a rapid pace across the country and highly motivated, licensed estheticians are in high demand. If you love working with people and making them feel great, the skin care industry is waiting for you.

Thirty-two years ago, Annette Hanson, founder of Atelier Esthetique® Institute of Esthetics (www.aeinstitute.net), started her school in the Empire State Building after an exciting career of her own as an esthetician in Paris. Today, Atelier is one of the most respected skin care industry training centers in the country. Its graduates work across the United States, as well as around the world.

At Atelier, students learn everything they need to know in order to succeed in the skin-care industry. From the basics of facials, back treatments, cosmetic ingredients, waxing and make-up to advanced theory and techniques, Atelier offers students a fast track to success. In as little as 80 days (four months), you can complete this program. It all starts with a New York State-approved, 600-hour esthetician licensing course available days and evenings.

All of our courses are New York State Education Department-approved and financial aid may be available if you qualify. We also have flexible, interest-free, “pay-as-you-go” programs. Atelier is GI Bill® approved and international students are welcome.

The school also offers laser/IPL hair removal, chemical peels, micro-dermabrasion and microcurrent technology to licensed estheticians. We host experts in the field to teach individual eyelash and eyebrow extensions, manual lymphatic drainage, aromatherapy and spa management.

We use state-of-the-art equipment in the school’s student-run clinic, which is often referred to as “New York City’s best kept secret” by those who visit regularly (www.atelierclinic.com). Come and experience a facial for yourself.

Atelier was the first esthetics school accredited in the U.S. to be part of the International Therapy Council (ITEC) in London, enabling its students to work in a clinical setting in the U.S. and to obtain international diplomas to work abroad.

Atelier Esthetique® Institute of Esthetics is located at 154 W. 14th St. (at 7th Avenue).
