Bat goon in B’klyn bashes church doors
A MAN WENT batty on a Brooklyn church Thursday — bashing in its glass doors with a baseball bat and yelling something inside before angrily stalking off.
Surveillance video released by police shows the mustachioed vandal (photo below) walk up to the Williamsburg Spanish Church on Grand St. near Havermeyer St. around 7:25 p.m. with what appears to be an aluminum bat in his right hand.
He immediately begins swinging at the church doors, taking six quick chops as shards of glass rain over the sidewalk.
The belligerent batsman walks off for a moment, then returns to the shattered entrance, shouting and pointing through the broken glass before walking away.
The suspect is described as having dark hair and a mustache.
