Powerball jackpot hits $535M
LOTTO PLAYERS now have 535 million reasons to play Powerball.
The jackpot for Saturday night’s drawing has soared to $535 million — making it the fifth-largest prize in the game’s history.
Fueled by feverish sales, the jackpot jumped $25 million after Wednesday’s drawing yielded no winners. The lump sum cash value, before taxes, would be $340.1 million. The odds of winning are one in 292.2 million.
The whopping sum is still dwarfed by the $1.58 billion world record prize that was split between winners in California, Florida and Tennessee in2016.
