‘Special adviser’ Carl Icahn quits
BILLIONAIRE CARL Icahn gave up his position as a “special adviser” to President Trump on Friday.
Icahn, 81, said he was doing so with Trump’s blessing.
“Contrary to the insinuations of a handful of your Democratic critics, I never had access to nonpublic information or profited from my position, nor do I believe that my role presented conflicts of interest,” the billionaire (left) said.
Nine members of the President's digital advisory board were off the council as of Friday, Politico reported.
Brooklyn Christian Cultural Center preacher A.R. Bernard also announced he was leaving the Evangelical Advisory Board, and citing “a deepening conflict in values between myself and the administration.”
