Jay opens up on feud with fellow rap giant

JAY-Z IS FINALLY addressing his drama with Kanye West.

The rapper got candid about the pair’s running feud in an interview with Rap Radar while discussing the recording of his latest album “4:44.”

The two had a falling out after West called out JAY-Z and his family during one of his onstage rants last year — and the lyrics on JAY-Z’s track “Kill Jay Z” are said to be a jab at the “Famous” rapper.

“You walkin’ around like you invincible / You dropped outta school, you lost your principles / I know people backstab you, I feel bad, too / But this ‘f--- everybody’ attitude ain’t natural / But you ain't the same, this ain’t KumbaYe / But you got hurt because you did cool by ’Ye,” Jay raps in the song.

“It’s not even about Kanye, it really isn’t,” JAY-Z says in the Tidal video, according to Rolling Stone.

“His name is there, just because it’s just the truth of what happened. But the whole point is ‘You got hurt because this person was talking about you on a stage.’ But what really hurt me was, you can’t bring my kids and my wife into it. Kanye’s my little brother. He’s talked about me 100 times. He made a song called ‘Big Brother.’ We’ve gotten past bigger issues. But you brought my family into it, now it’s a problem with me. That’s a real, real problem. And he knows it's a problem.” The 47-year-old rapper continued to discuss the drama between him and West, noting they had never gone this long without talking between one of their disagreements. “And we’ve had many, because that’s who we are,” JAY-Z continued. “That’s what I like about him. He’s an honest person, he’s open and he’ll say things and he’s wrong a lot of times and he’ll confront it.”

West said in his rant last year that he was hurt by Beyoncé saying she wouldn’t perform unless she won Video of the Year over him, especially after he stood up for the star’s video when she lost to Taylor Swift in 2009.

He continued in the rant that sometimes “we be playing the politics too much and forget who we are just to win.”

West also called out his socalled pal JAY-Z for not calling him after his wife Kim Kardashian's harrowing robbery in Paris.

JAY-Z also discussed on Tidal his infamous caught-on-video elevator fight with sister-in-law Solange.

“We’ve had one disagreement. Before and after, we’ve been cool,” he stated. “That’s my sister. Not my sister-in-law, no, my sister. Period.”
