- Thomas Tracy

AN OFF-DUTY NYPD school safety agent was arrested after she attacked her boyfriend in Brooklyn, police said Saturday.

Cops cuffed Janice Garcia, 47, after her boyfriend Asvaldo Ortiz, 42, told police that she lashed out at him following a disagreement in their Williamsburg apartment.

The boyfriend got some scratches and bruises during the clash, but was not seriously harmed.

Police also arrested Ortiz on assault charges, officials said. Garcia claimed that her boyfriend had punched and scratched her, then physically threw her out of the apartment and locked the door during the argument.

Garcia earned roughly $40,000 last year protecting city schoolchildren as a school safety officer, according to the website SeethruNY.com.

Earlier last week, cops arrested a city correction officer for flashing a gun at another driver during a road rage incident in Queens, police said.

Steven Kissoon, 29, got into an argument with the driver at 146th St. and Horace Harding Expressway in Flushing Meadows last Sunday night when he showed his gun, according to cops. Kissoon was charged with menacing and issued a desk appearance ticket.
