Finest dragged by car in Qns.

- Thomas Tracy

AN NYPD COP was dragged nearly 200 feet by a car fleeing a traffic stop in Queens on Saturday, leaving him with injuries to his hands and arms, officials said.

The officer stopped a Honda at Guy Brewer and North Conduit Blvds. in Jamaica after it blew through a red light about 2 a.m.

The cop approached the car and asked for information from the driver, a man who appeared to be in his 20s. Another man and a woman were also in the car.

When the officer asked the driver for his license, the suspect roared off, dragging the cop, police said.

After a brief struggle, the officer got his arm loose from the seatbelt it was caught in and fell away from the car.

Responding officers found the car abandoned nearby at 177th Place and 145th Drive. The driver was not found.

Medics took the wounded cop to Long Island Jewish Hospital, where he was treated and released.

In June, NYPD Officer Darsh Veve suffered a massive head injury when a 15-year-old gang member dragged him for two and a half blocks in a stolen Honda Civic in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Veve is still recovering from his injuries.

Cops shot and wounded the teen, who was charged with attempted murder.
