Cops seek clues in death plunge

A WOMAN took a fatal plunge from her East Harlem apartment building after a night out with her boyfriend, and police are looking into whether she was the victim of foul play, cop sources said Sunday.

Police found Yanina Boitel, 33, who lived in the Jefferson Houses complex on Third Ave. by E. 113th St., on the ground outside her building at 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Medics took her to Metropolitan Hospital, but she couldn’t be saved.

Investigators say Boitel (photo) dropped 14 stories from the roof and are trying to determine if she jumped, fell accidentally or was pushed, sources said.

Her boyfriend told detectives the two went out drinking and got separated after getting home. He said he found Boitel on the ground soon after returning home, sources said.

Boitel’s sister, Carmen Reyes, said she heard the two had a fight.

“We heard that they were arguing,” she said. “They were both on the roof. We don’t know all the details of it.” Boitel leaves behind three children, ages 16, 12 and 10, and had just celebrated the birth of her granddaughter, her sister said.

“Nina has been someone who has loved life, who has lived life to the fullest,” Reyes said. About 20 relatives gathered Sunday to pour a tribute of Hennessy onto the grass where Boitel was found.
