CONSTRUCTION workers repairing sewers near a Brooklyn psychiatric hospital unearthed human remains Monday afternoon, police said.

The workers were using heavy equipment to dig at Clarkson Ave. by E. 48th St. (photo), on the grounds of the state-owned Kingsboro Psychiatric Center in East Flatbush at about 1 p.m. when they found a skull, arm and leg bones, police said.

The remains were 13 feet underground.

The city medical examiner determined Monday night the remains belonged to a human, police sources said.

Cops could not say how long the bones had been buried there.
