Uber cabbie arrested in rape of fare

- Laura Dimon With Dale Eisinger

COPS HAVE arrested an Uber driver who police say admitted taking an unconscious woman from the East Side to his Queens apartment and raping her.

The 31-year-old victim ordered the car at 52nd St. and Second Ave. about 2 a.m. Thursday. She fell asleep after telling driver Kar Keong Liao, 47, to take her to her East Village apartment, according to police.

The cabbie is suspected of instead driving her to his Flushing apartment, where he raped her while she was still unconscious, sources said.

When the woman awoke and realized with horror what had happened, Liao told her, “I used protection — please don’t call police,” according to police sources.

“We have an arrest on that case,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said Monday.

“He made admissions to the fact as well.”

Cops arrested Liao on Saturday and charged him with rape, sex abuse and criminal sex act of somebody incapable of consent. He has no prior arrests.
