THE NEW SPIKE TV
Brooklyn-bred filmmaker Spike Lee took to Instagram urging Big Apple residents to vote for his 1994 joint “Crooklyn” as the film all New Yorkers will watch in unison on Sept. 13 if the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment gets its way. Lee’s film joins classic flicks “On the Town,” “Desperately Seeking Susan,” “The Wedding Banquet” and “New York, New York” as nominees for the One Film, One New York initiative. The wining flick will play in theaters and parks citywide.
