She took a stab at begging

A HOMELESS woman was busted for waving a kitchen knife at commuters at Port Authority Bus Terminal, police said Wednesday.

Dejanay Canteen, 28, was threatenin­g people with a 13-inch blade as she begged for loose change inside the Eighth Ave. transit hub at 3 p.m. Tuesday, cops said.

After one man refused to give her money, Canteen followed him with the weapon, and demanded charity, witnesses told police. Concerned commuters alerted officers in the terminal.

Cops saw Canteen harassing people and grabbed her.

No one was injured, authoritie­s said.

Canteen has a lengthy criminal record that includes charges for petty larceny, burglary, assault and trespassin­g. She was charged with attempted robbery, menacing and weapons possession.
