Prove I gave you herpes — Usher

USHER IS shutting down at least one claim that he gave a sexual partner herpes.

The R&B superstar (photo) responded Thursday to a $20 million lawsuit a Georgia woman filed as a Jane Doe, saying she has “no proof” that he gave her genital herpes in April, according to TMZ.

“A previous sexual partner very well may have already infected her,” he said in court papers, noting the woman did not clarify in the suit if she had been tested prior to their encounter. He also said the woman “assumed risk” by engaging in “casual, unprotected sexual intercourse and/or oral sex.”

Usher, 38, never denies having sex with the woman, according to the portions of the court papers TMZ published.

The “U Got It Bad” singer also said she could have contracted herpes after their encounter.
