ON THE QBS

Neither Geno Smith (5-of-10, 51 yards) nor Josh Johnson (4-of-6, 67 yards) appeared to take a step forward or backward in the backup QB competition. One possible marginal difference? Smith went turnover free, and while Johnson did, too, he was bailed out of a sure interception on a great catch by Travis Rudolph. Davis Webb was 2-of-4 for 40 yards. Manning was 7-of14 for 121 yards and one interception.
