S.i. man, 32, gets life for double kill

-

A STATEN Island man was sentenced Monday to life in prison without parole for shooting two brothers dead.

Wayne Thomas, 32, received two life terms following his conviction last month in the 2015 murders of Terrell and Justin Ford. Staten Island prosecutors said Thomas (photo inset)— who was on parole for a manslaughter conviction when he killed the Fords — emptied at least three rounds during an argument on Oct. 4, 2015.

The brothers had been in a fight with Thomas’ friend, prompting Thomas to shoot up Targee St. at Vanderbilt Ave. Terrell was 27 and Justin was 28.

Jurors heard two weeks of evidence before finding Thomas guilty of first-degree murder. Justice Wayne Ozzi sentenced Thomas to two consecutive life sentences without any possibility for parole. He tacked on another 14 years for a weapons charge.

Thomas’ lawyer couldn’t be reached for comment.
