Held after in gal beat after 4-hr. standoff

A MAN accused of attacking his girlfriend barricaded himself in his Staten Island home for four hours early Monday, police said.

Damian Woodward, 40, shouted he had done nothing wrong as he was wheeled on a stretcher from his Nunley Court home at about 10:30 a.m.

Police said Woodward attacked his 31-year-old girlfriend on Sunday, hitting her and choking her when she arrived to retrieve her purse. Cops got a warrant for his arrest and came calling at about 6:40 a.m., police said.
