3 ACS lawyers hit for shaming
THREE ADMINISTRATION for Children’s Services lawyers have been removed from supervisory roles after posting mocking messages and photos of people in Family Court, the agency said Thursday.
The posts, first reported by The New York Times, made fun of the people’s clothing and appearance, according to the paper.
“We have served the staff involved in this matter with disciplinary charges, and removed them from supervisory roles as we continue to investigate,” ACS spokeswoman Aja Worthy-Davis said. “Our expectation is that employees show respect to the families we work with. When they disregard both our training and legal ethics, it immediately triggers an investigation."
In an email shared by ACS sources, Deputy Commissioner Alan Sputz described the Family Court Legal Services lawyers as having “posted photos taken in Family Court to their personal social media accounts and made inappropriate and offensive comments.”
