Arrested, but won’t face music
A BROOKLYN woman was arrested for harassing musicians gearing for the weekend’s New York Caribbean Carnival and other activities, but the charges didn’t stick, authorities said Thursday.
Kathleen Reilly, 63, who regularly files noise complaints about loud music was accused of holding an iPad up and recording peoples’ faces at Pacific Gardens — a lot on Pacific St. by Classon Ave. at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, cops said.
She “disregarded direct orders from officers on scene to stop harassing the individuals,” and made 911 calls falsely claiming a large disorderly group gathered there, an NYPD spokesman said.
Reilly was charged with harassment, falsely reporting an incident, disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental administration, according to police.
Prosecutors declined to pursue the case against her on Thursday, court officials said. Attempts to reach her for comment were unsuccessful.
