Kristic, 94, artist and Newser’s ma
ROSE MARIE KRISTIC, the mother of Angie Kristic, a former Daily News contributor and Audelco Award-nominated director of the Off-Broadway show “Cherchez La Femme: A Musical Excuse,” died Aug. 12 of complications from a stroke. She was 94.
Born Nov. 30, 1922 in Manhattan, where she lived her entire life, Kristic (right) was a fine artist and illustrator who attended the Art Students League of New York.
“She was a devoted mother and a warm, kind and compassionate woman with a great sense of humor who loved Van Gogh, French films, wildlife, nature and being a native New Yorker,” Angie Kristic said.
Kristic is also survived by another daughter, Linda.
There will be a private funeral service Thursday at Calvary Cemetery in Queens, and a memorial service in mid-September.
