A DRUNKEN driver slammed into a 30-year-old man walking across the Belt Parkway in Queens early Saturday — leaving the victim in critical condition, police said.

Jose Paul, 45, was driving east on the Belt Parkway when he struck the victim near exit 19 in Howard Beach. The victim was thrown onto Paul’s Toyota, crashing into the windshield.

Medics rushed the victim to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition. His name was not released.

Paul remained at the scene, telling first responders the victim had darted out in front of him in an attempt to sprint across the highway.

Cops arrested Paul for drunken driving, officials said. His arraignment was pending in Queens Criminal Court.
