Go further. Reach higher. Seize the life you want – and the career you deserve – at St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn. With a century of successful alumni now working at thriving school districts, businesses, hospitals and startups, we’re ready to help you reach your full potential.

Built on tradition, SJC is strengthened by our willingness to innovate and commitment to keeping costs down and our standards high. Our tuition rates are among the lowest of private colleges in the area, so you can earn a degree of value at a low cost. In fact, Washington Monthly ranks St. Joseph’s the #9 “Best Bang for the Buck” college in the Northeast.

While our award-winning education stays true to our values, the College continues to add new programs, including journalism and new media studies, hospitality and tourism management, and nursing. They join more than 45 others that are all led by a faculty of industry leaders in an open, supportive atmosphere. We keep our classes small – the average student-to-faculty ratio is 11:1 – so you’ll get to know your professors and they’ll get to know you.

At SJC Brooklyn, what you learn in the classroom is a prologue to what you’ll experience outside of it.

In the heart of Clinton Hill, the College is in an active community surrounded by the culture, beauty and excitement of Manhattan. Campus life is rich and diverse: There’s a full slate of student clubs, campus organizations, 14 NCAA Division III sports teams, and excursions in the city and surrounding area.

Our close proximity to Manhattan also helps facilitate internship opportunities that provide valuable, real-world experience and often lead to full-time positions. Our students have interned in politicians’ offices, at Major League Baseball, Brooklyn Navy Yard, Viacom/MTV and at leading accounting firms, including Grant Thornton LLP.

SJC students also participate in an ever-expanding number of service learning experiences. In 2017, the College sponsored trips to Washington, D.C. and Oklahoma, as well as Nicaragua, where students work with community stakeholders.

Through our dynamic study abroad program, there’s ample opportunity to explore other global destinations – from Italy and Ireland to Bermuda, Cuba and beyond – with short- and longterm trips that provide crosscultural experiences beyond the classroom.

SJC graduates leave campus with the combination of classroom instruction and professional experiences that’s highly regarded in today’s job market. Every graduate is part of a family of more than 33,000 alumni, who help provide networking opportunities and tangible jobs. You’ll also have access to a lifetime of career services to make sure you stay in the know and keep your abilities honed.
