First Fam details $1M in donations
PRESIDENT TRUMP and the First Lady have identified the charities to which they’ve pledged $1 million to relieve devastation from Harvey.
The White House released a list of the President’s preferred organizations on Wednesday, with the largest amounts — $300,000 — going to the Salvation Army and the Red Cross.
Other gifts included $100,000 to Reach out America and the same figure to Samaritan’s Purse, a charity founded by evangelical preacher Franklin Graham.
Trump and his wife also gave $25,000 each to the ASPCA, Catholic Charities, Direct Relief, Habitat for Humanity, Houston Humane Society, Operation Blessing, Portlight Inclusive Disaster Strategies and Team Rubicon, an organization that combines the skills of military veterans and first responders.
