Blaz lag has Eva raging

-

SUCCESS Academy founder Eva Moskowitz and other city charter school leaders took to the steps of City Hall on Wednesday to rip Mayor de Blasio for failing to answer their requests for space in school buildings. The school leaders said charter critic de Blasio is stalling, even though he is required law to provide them space in city school buildings. The group had given him a deadline of last Friday for getting back to them on space requests for the school year starting in 2018. Moskowitz and other charter leaders said they needed a response by then so families can plan where their kids will go to school next year. “It’s sort of like nobody’s home at City Hall,” said Moskowitz, who has feuded with de Blasio for years. City Education Department spokesman Michael Aciman said the schools are following state law and address space requests in a timely manner. The city is consulting with local school communities on the requests, he said.
