Teen gets grounded for climbs
A TEEN DAREDEVIL busted for scaling Manhattan high-rises will have to keep his feet on the ground for the foreseeable future, a Manhattan judge ordered Wednesday.
Judge Heidi Cesare approved a plea deal hammered out with the Manhattan district attorney’s office and sentenced Justin Casquejo (inset), 19, to three years of probation.
As part of the plea agreement, Casquejo promised to stay away from the Paramount Tower, a luxury residential building on E. 39th St. and Second Ave. in Murray Hill, where cops arrested him for “doing handstands and jumping up and down” on the edge of the roof. He is also prohibited from visiting 70 Pine St., a 67-story luxury apartment building in the Financial District that he climbed on Feb. 21, 2016.
“It’s fine, all things considered,” Casquejo said after walking out of court. “I’m absolutely happy I'm not in jail.”
