S.I. guy stabs mom: cops

AN EMOTIONALL­Y disturbed man stabbed his mom in their Staten Island apartment Wednesday afternoon, police sources said.

The bloody scene unfolded on Post Ave. near Dubois Ave. in Port Richmond after the pair came home from shopping, around 4:30 p.m., authoritie­s said.

Medics took the 51-year-old woman to Richmond University Medical Center and is expected to survive, cops said.

Her son, Elvin Suarez, 28, was arrested shortly after the knifing. He is charged with assault, weapons possession and menacing, police said.

A neighbor told the Daily News the woman rushed out of apartment oozing blood on the steps outside the building.

“She had blood all over her, and I grabbed a few towels and put pressure on the wound,” said the woman, who only gave her first name, Helen.

“She said her son had stabbed her . . . He takes medication and he’s off his meds,” the neighbor said.
