ESPN radio show. “Because I’m part of YES.”

Kay added: “I would know, I would have heard if this was something YES was involved in. I will guarantee you that is totally fraudulent what the Red Sox are actually claiming.”

Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia, who was involved in iGate, weighed in:

“[MLB] had a good picture of me, Brock (Holt), and CY (Chris Young) hanging out though,” Pedroia said. “I do know that. And I was talking to the trainer about what time I’m rehabbing the next day because I’m on the DL, I was on the DL. And they had a nice (picture) of Doug (Fister) with an earpiece in. It was his mouthguard.”

“So I mean, it’s baseball, man,” Pedroia added. “We already played them 19 times. They beat us how many, 11? They beat us. I’m not going to cry to anybody about it. That’s baseball.”

Adam Warren was placed on the 10-day disabled list with lower back spasms, and will need to rest for the next two weeks. It’s unknown when he’ll be able to return.

“We were hoping we’d get back him back in Baltimore, so yes, I am (concerned),” Girardi said after the Yankees were rained out of their Wednesday night game against the Orioles, which will be made up on Thursday afternoon at 1:35 p.m.

Warren, 30, has a 2.40 ERA in 45 games (56.1 innings). The Yankees left him home Monday after learning of the injury on Sunday night.

“You would think as a reliever in two weeks, if he’s physically OK we could get him back at some point,” Girardi said. “But that’s if he’s ok after two weeks.”

Also on the injury front, CC Sabathia left the clubhouse early with his bag, but Joe Girardi wasn’t sure about a report that he was leaving to get another injection in his knee. “He’s been fine,” Girardi said. “Everything’s been good.”

Girardi remains uncertain about what’s going to happen with next week’s Yankees-Rays series due to Hurricane Irma. The teams are slated to play at Tropicana Field Sept. 11-13.

“The little that I’ve heard is that we could possibly fly in on Monday and play a game on Tuesday and a doubleheader maybe on Wednesday,” Girardi said. “We could possibly fly in on Tuesday and play a doubleheader on Wednesday and figure out how to make up the other game. We’ve talked about moving it. So nothing is really clear. I think it’s probably about as uncertain as the exact track of the storm. I think that has a lot to do with it.

“You’d prefer not to play a doubleheader especially at this time of the year, but Mother Nature is something we’ve never really been able to outwit.”

Girardi said his preference would be to play in a neutral site, but added: “I understand their point of view, too. They don’t want to give up their home games and their homefield advantage so you just have to deal with it.” ... Clint Frazier (oblique) was slated to begin his rehab stint with Double-A Trenton on Wednesday night. He could return to the Yankees sometime next week. … Thursday will mark the final game of Gary Sanchez’s suspension.
