ROSARIO NOT READY

Amed Rosario was out of the lineup again Friday, his fifth straight game out with a bruised right index finger, but the hope was he could return as soon as Saturday.

But the Mets are being very protective of their 21-year-old shortstop.

“The fact this thing was so swelled up he couldn’t swing, there is no reason at this particular moment to rush him back in the lineup, and cause an issue where he is going to miss two weeks,” Collins said. “When he had it this summer, he actually missed five days. He is kinda of right on the same schedule.”
