Interpreter steals spotlight at presser

-

A SIGN language interpreter provided an unintended moment of levity as Floridians prepare for one of the worst storms in its history. The emotive interpreter (pictured) flailed his hands and jerked his face as Florida Gov. Rick Scott gave a briefing on Hurricane Irma on Saturday morning. At one point, he stuck his tongue out and pointed his thumbs upward. During other moments he made terrified faces as Scott warned of powerful winds and deadly storm surges. Some Twitter users expressed guilty humor over the interpreter’s show-stealing moves. “I don’t mean to make light of #Irma but this sign language guy is getting the #Facials thing down! So get out and get away,” wrote @ ELRLive.
