Prez hosts cabinet at Md. retreat
PRESIDENT TRUMP spent another weekend away from the White House, huddling on Saturday with cabinet members at Camp David.
Trump, along with Vice President Pence, invited all 23 members of the cabinet and their spouses to the rustic presidential retreat near Thurmont, Md.
The White House released a brief video, shared on Trump’s personal Twitter page, of the President seated at a large conference table, surrounded by his secretaries.
The group was said to be discussing Trump’s push to overhaul the nation’s tax code, infrastructure plans and the extension of protections for young undocumented immigrants known as “Dreamers.”
In the clip, Trump thanks Pence for leading the group in prayer before addressing Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
“All of American continues ... to pray for the families affected by Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, which looks like it’s really going to be a bad one,” he said.The group received updates about Hurricane Irma from Department of Homeland Security Acting Director Elaine Duke.
