Cops probing MS-13 graffiti
LONG ISLAND cops are investigating a menacing graffiti spree promoting the notorious gang MS-13.
Several homes on Seward Drive in Woodbury were found marred with the MS-13 insignia and profanities about 6 a.m. Saturday.
The Nassau County Police Department believes the vandalism took place sometime after 9 p.m. Friday.
Cops were looking for the vandals and trying to determine if they are directly connected to the violent street gang that has plagued Long Islanders over the past year.
MS-13 has been linked to at least 17 killings on Long Island this year, according to Rep. Pete King (R-L.I.).
Federal authorities charged three gang members for a vicious quadruple murder at a Central Islip park. Another three men have been charged with the September 2016 killing of two Brentwood High School students.
Weeks after the Central Islip quadruple murder, Attorney General Jeff Sessions came to Long Island to double down on a pledge to destroy the gang.
President Trump also took a few shots at the gang in July and encouraged a group of police cadets in Brentwood to rough up suspects when they are in custody.
“Please don’t be too nice,” Trump said.
