Fatal motorcycle crash

- John Annese

A MOTORCYCLIST died in a fiery Queens crash Sunday that sent sparks flying and ignited a car, police said.

The 25-year-old biker, who was not identified, was riding a 2016 Yamaha west on the Grand Central Parkway just after 5 a.m., when he hit a guardrail near Exit 9 in East Elmhurst, police said.

The impact threw him onto the side of the road, but the bike kept going and hit a 2011 Nissan SUV with a 59-year-old woman at the wheel.

The Yamaha lodged beneath the SUV, showering sparks onto a 2009 Lincoln sedan driven by a 50-yearold woman and setting it on fire, cops said.
